The Mission

The mission of New Generation Christian Center is to win our community and the greater Kansas City area, for Jesus Christ through the proclamation of God’s Word.  We strive to provide a loving and caring family atmosphere where the love of Jesus Christ is felt and demonstrated.  New Generation Christian Center encourages each person to grow in faith in Jesus Christ and to step up to a life of expectancy in God through the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Vision

The vision of New Generation Christian Center is to provide a home in the heart of Lee’s Summit, MO for spiritual growth and discipleship to people of all ethnic and social backgrounds.  The vision centers upon the preaching of the Word of God and is supported by ministries for people of all ages.

We Believe

  • In the triune God, one God in three persons; the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  (Deut 6:4, Matt 28:19, 1 Pet 1:2, Gen 1:1, Rom 11:36, Col 1:16, Rev 1:8)
  • Jesus is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect human sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate his power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and will return again to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.  (Matt 1:22-23, Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1-5,14:10-30, Heb 4:14,15, 1 Cor 15:3, 4 Rom 1:3,4, Acts 1:9-11, 1 Tim 6:14-15, Titus 2:13)
  • The Bible is God's Word, and was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit.  (2 Tim 3:16, 2 Pet 1:20,21, 2 Tim 1:13, Psalm 119:105, 160, 12:6, Prov 30:5)
  • Salvation is a gift from God.  Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into their life by faith.  (Rom 6:23, Eph 2:8-9, John 14:6, 1:12, Titus 3:5, Gal 3:26, Rom 5:1)
  • The millennial reign of Christ.  The second coming of Christ includes the rapture of all Christians, followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on the earth for 1,000 years (Revelation 20:1-6).

  • The final judgment.  Anyone whose name is not found in the Book of Life, will be sent to everlasting punishment (Matthew 25:46, Revelation 20:11-15).
  • The new heavens and the new earth.  According to God’s promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth, where righteousness will dwell and reign forever (2 Peter 3:13, Revelation 21-22).
