The Census Ministry: Provides encouragement and support by cultivating a spirit of commitment and accountability. It is our purpose to maintain a record of salvation and baptism. We keep an up-to-date visitors and membership database, pictorial database, current list of active member’s birthdays and anniversaries as well as demographics of the entire church. We also make sure new members are scheduled to attend and have completed their new member’s class. We endeavor to serve the body of Christ in a spirit of excellence.
Hospitality is an area of ministry, which that is on duty at all times. We greet and direct our guests and members with love and kindness. We are the first impression of NGCC, and it’s our job to make our guests feel welcomed. The Hospitality Team is also responsible for reading announcements and giving a formal welcome to our guests during service. Romans 12:10 says, “be kindly affectionate one to another with brotherly love.”
Music: The expressed purpose of the Music Ministry is to lead the congregation in Praise and Worship as stated in Psalm 100. Through song, we are able to encourage meaningful awareness of His presence with adoration and thanksgiving. We devote our time to God through rehearsals, so that we may become anointed and skillful ministers of music. We are admonished to make a joyful noise and yield our will to God.
Next Generation: Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” The mission of this ministry is to stay in agreement with the word of God, by training our future. We empower them with biblical knowledge, and instill in them Christian values. It is our belief, that by teaching today’s children, we are investing in our tomorrow!
Temple Keepers: We are dedicated to keep God’s house clean and in order. In maintaining a clean house of worship, we give to God in the most humble way—the praise and glory He most certainly deserves. The Temple
Keepers also load in/out the PA Equipment, Refreshment Table and Book Displays.
Feeding Ministry: Mark 8:2 says, “And Jesus had compassion on the multitude…” In accordance with what the word of God says, NGCC has established this ministry. God’s people need to be strong in all walks of life. Our pastor ensures we are spiritually fed. With the development of our Feeding Ministry, NGCC has the capability of helping our church and our community be naturally fed. Our purpose is to help the multitude of people who need assistance. We refuse to let our brethren fall to the way side.
Events Ministry: In pursuit of keeping our church family close, the Events Ministry has been established. It is our endeavor to help other departments and ministry pull together to complete church-wide events. It is our aspiration to act as faith-driven facilitators for all departments and ministries. We’ll plan dinners, socials, events and activities to ensure a close, loving church family.
Multi-media: The primary purpose of this ministry is to help communicate and promote the vision of NGCC. We are responsible for every kind of media production that is necessary to assist in the growth of any and all ministries that are available at NGCC. Video/audio production, CD and cassette duplication, DVD reproduction, church bulletins, advertisements and graphic design work must be produced with the spirit of excellence.
Visitation Ministry: This ministry provides comfort and moral support in time of need to the immediate family of the deceased. The Visitation Ministry provides hospital and nursing home visits to the sick and shut-in. This ministry will also assist with home-going arrangements as well.
Usher: Psalm 84:10 says, “I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God…” The goal of the New Generation Usher is to police the church, not by force but with Godly love. We wish to create an atmosphere in which visitors and members feel a sense of order and competent direction. As God ushers us, now let us usher you into the house of the Lord.
